Erika Sykes, is a native of Buffalo, NY, and the founder of Go-To-E, LLC. Her inspiration was very simple. Some of her close friends who happened to be professional athletes needed help. She noticed that the demands of being professional athletes made it extremely hard to manage their everyday lives. Through years of experience working within a variety of team settings, a top sports agency and managing various athletes she became very skilled at helping individuals achieve balance. Her passion for helping athletes connect with their communities and establish themselves outside of the demands of their respective talents, Sykes' vision would help athletes succeed far beyond the triumphs of the game!

 

Erika moved to Cleveland where she worked at Klutch Sports Group,LLC as an Executive Assistant providing high-level administrative support to NBA Agent Rich Paul. At Klutch she worked closely under Mr. Paul learning the ins and outs of the sports business. On a day-to-day basis Erika interacted with clients such as LeBron James, Eric Bledsoe, Norris Cole, Tristan Thompson and Cory Joseph. Some of her responsibilities included coordinating daily company operations, handling Mr. Paul’s daily schedule and organization of meetings, preparation of contracts and serving as the primary liaison between the clients, general managers, team owners and sports agent. One of her most memorable moments during her tenure was having hands on experience with the free agency of four time MVP LeBron James and his return to Cleveland. She was also an integral part of the preparation process of the NBA’s largest unrestricted free agency contract for Eric Bledsoe and the Phoenix Suns. 

 

As a former athlete and lover of sports, she understands the importance of helping athletes build a timeless brand and the importance of creating a legacy on and off the playing field. Her recipe for success is simple: Build your brand, maximize your opportunities, and strategically utilize your resources and time. She connects closely with her clients to identify their interests, passions and societal concerns. Their personal growth as an athlete, public figure, individual and philanthropist is important to her. Go-To-E, LLC is currently working with top NBA and NFL players. But this isn’t something that came to fruition over night; it has taken lots of hard work, relationship building, perseverance and dedication.

 

Erika is continuing to pave her way in the sports and entertainment industry through Go-To-E. Her biggest goal is far beyond dollar signs and being in the limelight. As a female working in a male dominated industry, knocking down barriers for other women looking to break into the sports business is what she envisions as her legacy. She wholeheartedly believes that her calling lies in the empowerment of women. A dream of being larger than life combined with a willingness to succeed has been the recipe that drives her.  But the journey is far from over.  Erika Sykes overall vision is to become the “Go-To- Girl” for management, and networking amongst professional athletes and prominent influencers.
